On the occasion of Pitti Filati 88, Accademia Costume & Moda, in collaboration with Modateca Deanna and Pitti Immagine, presents Final work and Industry projects of the students of the 1st level Master in Creative Knitwear Design (CKD Master). 13 students present their creations on the Pitti Connect digital platform, with a Fashion Film inspired by the dark atmospheres of renown film makers such as Lars Von Trier and David Lynch, on view from Tuesday 23 February (12.00).
The master course, which in this edition saw the participation of as many as 54 companies from Italian manufacturing, such as knitwear producers, spinning mills, printer, embroiderers , dyeing and artisan workshops, is aimed at those who want to learn or deepen specific skills related to the design of collections in knitwear and jersey.
The creativity of the designers translates into the creation of Capsule Collections that are worn by the inhabitants of the imaginary city of CKD Ville, creating a visual liaison between the different creative expressions present in the collections.
In the Fashion Film “CKD Master Cube” each collection is set in a different location that represents it, from the high school to a jazz club, from the cafeteria to the nursery. Each situation thus comes to life and comes alive with fantastic characters who wear the looks created by the students of CKD Master with the technical support of the knitwear factories, spinning mills and all the partners who have supported this educational project with generosity and foresight.
